Two events for the arts-and-literary-minded this weekend; first up, a new exhibition at Peacock Visual Arts by Bobby Niven. Island uses film, sculpture and found objects to explore the strange architecture and intriguing history of Inchgarvie Island, an uninhabited islet located under the Forth Rail Bridge in Edinburgh. It’s a peculiar place, and a lot of you will have looked at it from the train and wondered…
Preview from 6-8pm on Friday 25 May, all welcome. The exhibition then runs until 7 July.
On Saturday and Sunday, the SMART Gallery hosts Imprint, a short series of events which includes a Peacock print shop and the launch of a new issue of Pushing Out The Boat, North-East Scotland’s magazine of new writing. Details below:
